My Process

First come the measurements.

I will come to you to take measurements in your best-fitting bra, and determine your underwire size and shape. We'll talk about different patterns and styles that will best suit your body.

But what if I don't have a bra that fits?!

Paradox, right? You want a well-fitting bra, which is why you're here, only to be asked to wear a well-fitting bra to get measured in!

No worries. All your bra needs to do is hold you in place for me to measure you as accurately as possible.

Will I have to get naked?

Not if you don't want to. Underwires come in all different shapes and sizes and we want to find the one that best conforms to your body. Even if you think there's no way you want underwires, knowing your size and shape helps me to draft your custom pattern. The easiest way for me to determine which to use is to have you hold a breast in place up and out of my way so I can try different wires on your breast root. However, if you're not comfortable with that, no worries! We can narrow down the options over a bra, and then you can try a few wires on yourself in privacy.

We'll talk about your needs and wants.

Maybe you need a front closure.

Maybe you'd like some extra wide, comfortably-padded straps.

You may be looking for a wireless or plunge bra for that extra special event.

And, of course... COLOUR! I buy all my basic supplies in white so I can custom dye your bra any colour you like.

And what about a second bra?

Getting a perfect fit is an iterative process. Your first bra will be darn good. But your second bra, of the same pattern, will be even better. Any fit issues will be smoothed out. You may like to change the colour or some minor style elements.

I have one good bra, can you remake it?

Sometimes the customer knows exactly what they want. Yes, I can remake an existing bra, if you're willing to leave it with me until your new bra is done. Price will vary depending on the complexity of the design.
